Job Overview:

The Echocardiogram Technician performs technical procedures such as Adult TEE and TTE with the use of an Echocardiogram machine, to obtain ultrasound images to aid in diagnoses of cardiac disease

Qualifications:

Required:

Successful completion of ultrasound or cardiovascular technology program with emphasis on echocardiography or RCS Certification is required or eligibility is required,A minimum of 15 echo-related CMEs required per three year period as required by ICAEL standardsPrevious experience in performing all modalities of cardiac non-invasive testing is preferredMaintenance of required BLS Heart Health Care Provider course completion status is requiredSuccessful completion of all required orientation programs is required

Preferred:

At least one year of relevant work experience 

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

Successful completion of ultrasound or cardiovascular technology program with emphasis on echocardiography or RCS Certification is required or eligibility is required

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

7-3Days Per Diem

Essential Functions:

Conducts cardiac testing on patients,2D Echocardiogram, M-Mode color DopplerStress tests include nuclear stress, stress echocardiograms and cardiopulmonary stress testsAssist with transesophageal echocardiogramsHolter monitor hookupParticipates in unit quality improvement projectsIndividual departmental-specific duties as assigned
