Job Summary and Responsibilities
Operates ultrasound equipment and Performs a variety of technical diagnostic procedures which encompass the
specialty area of Echocardiography. Must be able to perform 2D/Doppler echocardiograms, Pharmacological and TMT
stress echocardiograms and assist with Transesophageal echocardiograms.
1. Performs ultrasound diagnostic imaging on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols
2. Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning
3. Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed after each procedure
4. Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
5. Completes all clinical supply inventory
6. Actively Participates with patient testing, performing routine, non‐routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests
7. Communicates with Patient Transportation, Nursing Units, Physician Offices, and other diagnostic areas
Job Requirements
Required:
*Associate’s Degree OR one year certificate from a health related program in a related medical field, which include seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound preferred
*Registered by American Diagnostic Registry for Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as RDCS OR RVT or Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RVS or RCS
