Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. Responsibilities:
Able to set up rooms for adult and pediatric scanning.
Assist Echocardiography Sonographer and physician with transesophageal echocardiograms.
Assist Echocardiography Sonographer with reports and paper flow.
Progressive training will include student sonographer becoming proficient in scanning adult and pediatric echocardiograms without supervision.
Must work under the supervision of a credentialed sonographer.
Works to maintain satisfactory working relationships with Echo medical and technical Director, physicians, ancillary departments, visitors, patients, and patient’s family members.
All other duties and assignments as directed by leadership.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be enrolled in an Ultrasound school/program for Echocardiography, completed the junior year, and be actively participating in a clinical rotation.
Obtain appropriate credential (RDCS, RCS, or CRCS) within one year of graduation of echocardiography program.
