Work You'll Do Deloitte has a critical need for developing, selling, and delivering new Earth observation (EO) capabilities at Deloitte to address significant demand in the GPS market for earth observation analytics and consulting services. This new and growing market has been identified as a priority area for both Deloitte's Sustainability and Space practices. In this market, depth of technical expertise is required to determine the proper application of Space data against a broad spectrum of valuable potential use cases. Furthermore, given the highly fragmented and start-up forward nature of the current commercial space data industry, breadth of existing industry connections becomes paramount in bringing and delivering the differentiated services needed to compete. Finally, many of the purchasers of and decision-makers enabled by these deeply technical capabilities do not have the technical backgrounds, requiring someone with the required technical expertise to be able to appropriately frame technical intricacies into clear, value-first language. Ultimately, this role will define Deloitte's go to market strategy for building our EO sustainability and space practice, and for and for developing new business to address demand in the GPS market. Qualifications: + PhD in Geography or a related field. + 20+ years of experience in the geospatial industry and its growing ecosystem + 12+ years of professional experience in geospatial analytics, product development, and go to market activation. + 12+ years of experience in enterprise-wide geospatial analytics platforms and products across space and non-space sectors + 8+ years of experience in developing and managing AI-based geospatial analytics platforms. + 5+ years of experience in geospatial product-market fit strategies. + 5+ years of experience in leading teams focused on new markets and partnerships. Technical Skills: + Mastery with geospatial data science and analytics. + Proficiency in cloud-based geospatial analytics platforms. + Proficiency in the application of machine learning frameworks for satellite imagery. + Mastery in understanding different and upcoming remote sensing sensors and its tech (including but not limited to hyperspectral, electro optical, multispectral, synthetic aperture radar, Light detection and ranging, radio frequency) along with terrestrially based data sources (AIS, ADS-B, NIS, Human Geography) and how to integrate and enable multisource fusion. Software and Tools: + Experience with geospatial analysis software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS). + Proficiency with cloud computing platforms and API integration. This compensation range is specific to {insert location} and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $175,725 to $292,875. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
