**KEY ROLE:**
Are you a recent graduate or completing your mechanical qualification, with a passion for mechanical engineering and a strong academic track record? Are you ready to kick-start your career in a dynamic, hands-on environment where innovation meets real-world impact?
We’re looking for a **Graduate Mechanical Engineer** to join our expert team in delivering cutting-edge **commercial refrigeration solutions** across South Africa.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ An awareness of South African National Standards (SANS), ASHRAE etc. will be advantageous.
+ Air/fluid/heat transfer/thermodynamics etc. tertiary education subject/elective will be advantageous.
+ Must be familiar with the refrigeration cycle and primary equipment.
+ An proficiency in VBA and Dynamo will be advantageous
+ Assistance on design, based on client requirements and specifications.
+ Interest in various engineering modeling software and BIM conversant is essential (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, etc.)
+ Interest in all project stages from inception through to close-out and competent in constructing and compiling tender documentation and management of that process.
+ Assisting with the compilation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ’s)
+ Assisting engineers on equipment specifications understanding and approvals
+ Assisting engineers on quality control (QA/QC)
+ Site supervision and construction monitoring
+ Trouble shooting on existing installations
+ Assisting on cost control (related to mechanical installations only)
+ Project scoping and scope monitoring

Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you
Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
Embracing, displaying and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times, whether in the office environment, on construction sites or in the general environment
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
+ BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
+ Minimum 70% overall GPA as of June 2025
+ No experience required, any experience in Consulting Engineering will be advantageous.
+ Must have interest in to become a Built Environment Professional (BEP).
+ Individual currently in employ of a consulting entity will be advantageous but not required
**KEY COMPETENCIES AND GENERIC SKILLS:**
+ Code B drivers licence (preferably own car)
+ Good attention to detail
+ Excellent time management
+ Adaptability – willing to learn and adapt new technologies and methodologies
+ Computer literacy (programming skills will be advantageous)
+ Experience in various Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 suite) will be advantageous.
+ Must be self-motivated
+ Team player
+ Excellent communicator, both written and spoken
+ Good problem resolution skills
+ A self-starter who can run with and manage their own projects with the guidance of a senior engineer.
+ Skilled in thermodynamic and pipe network design principles
