Date Posted 8/11/2025 Contact Moises Benito831-753-5700 2017 Number of Openings 6 Salary Add'l Salary Info $26.16-$33.56 per hour Length of Work Year 6 hrs/week September 24, 2025-June 5, 2026 Employment Type Part Time Job Description / Essential Elements: Print PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Under the supervision of and working in close cooperation with the Project Director, the ECE Teacher will plan and implement a comprehensive, positive and age-appropriate program that will enhance the physical, social, intellectual and emotional development of all participating children; and to do related work as assigned. Directly responsible to the Project Director of the Alisal Child Care Development Center, or designee. Works with children and/or parents in groups or individually. In accordance with program policy, establish and maintain standards of child behavior needed to achieve a functional and secure environment. Work cooperatively with other staff members to implement program goals and objectives, communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and supervisors. Prepares and provides a variety of developmental activities and supervises children as they are engaged in these activities. Assist in the selection of program materials and equipment. Schedule and facilitate the daily classroom planning meetings. Develop and maintain the lesson plan log in conjunction with the group planning. Monitor the student assessment files of each child in the classroom and assist other teachers when necessary. Monitor the daily schedule for ECE Instructional Aide and volunteers in the classroom, monitor break times and scheduled time off to assure that overtime is required for true emergency situations. Facilitate communication with the parents in the classroom by presenting at monthly parent meetings, publishing necessary notes about weekly events, changes in the regular schedule, contributing calendar events and articles for the newsletters, and contacting parents when a conference is necessary. Maintain accurate student attendance records and insure that record keeping and the classroom environment are compliant with state childcare licensing agency regulations and guidelines. Communicate consistently and effectively with the program coordinator regarding the functioning of the classroom. Provide information regarding program progress, as well as problems and concerns. Communicate in a timely manner with the program coordinator regarding personnel issues in the classroom. Performs other related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Correct English and Spanish usage, including spelling, grammar and punctuation. Two years successful experience in a similar program setting. Ability to consult with and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and school, community and agency personnel. Child Center Permit or a BA with a major in ECE/CD, recreation, physical education or elementary education. High School diploma or equivalent and 24 units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) our Child Development (CD)course-work including core courses and at least 16 General Education units. First Aid/CPR certified. Work independently and cooperatively with staff and public, maintain confidentiality, work in a multicultural setting, keep and maintain accurate and confidential records.
