Early Childhood Education (ECE) Aides Needed in Orange County

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeking a compassionate and dedicated ECE Instructional Aide to support preschool-age children in a District preschool program!
Under the general supervision of a preschool teacher or site administrator, the Instructional Aide assists with instruction, provides care and supervision, and supports the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of young learners. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood development, hands-on learning, and creating a positive and nurturing classroom environment.
Pay Rate: Up to $22/hr
Schedule: 7:45am-4:15pm
Minimum Requirement: 6 ECE Units
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist teachers with the set-up and preparation of classroom materials, learning stations, and daily activities.
+ Support students with learning activities, both individually and in small groups.
+ Use positive reinforcement strategies to guide students toward appropriate behavior.
+ Encourage development in self-help skills, independence, and basic social skills.
+ Assist with meals and snacks, including food preparation, serving, set-up, and clean-up.
+ Maintain a safe, sanitary, and orderly classroom and outdoor play environment.
+ Sanitize and disinfect toys, tables, chairs, and other classroom surfaces.
+ Provide supervision and support during bathroom routines, including personal hygiene, grooming, diaper changing, and toileting as needed.
+ Participate in student sign-in and sign-out procedures to ensure safety and compliance with state and licensing requirements.
+ Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and preparation of instructional materials.
+ Support the teacher with data collection for student assessments.
+ Attend required trainings and meetings to stay informed on current best practices in child development.
+ Help promote a positive, nurturing, culturally respectful learning environment for all students.
Qualifications
+ Minimum of 6 ECE units required.
+ Experience working with young children (preschool age) preferred.
+ Ability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and maintain a warm, supportive demeanor.
+ Reliable, flexible, and committed to student safety and development.
