**This Opportunity**
WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time **Early Career Geologist** for our **Lakewood, CO** office. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
**Your Impact**
+ Demonstrate a Safety-First focus.
+ Conduct a full range of mining engineering and geology functions.
+ Perform strategic modeling, design and engineering analyses duties, including interactive mine design and sequencing utilizing various mine modeling software packages. This will require working on projects with supervision and as part of collaborative teams.
+ Work collaboratively with engineers and technical staff to develop the skills and procedures needed to effectively deliver engineering and consulting assignments.
+ Continually apply a high standard of ethical behavior to promote and support WSP’s Core Values and Culture.
+ You will work with other WSP offices and clients worldwide.
+ Complete training on assigned tasks.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
**Who You Are**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering or related degree.
+ 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentation skills.
+ Ability to travel internationally and to remote project locations.
+ Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
+ Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering or closely related degree.
+ Engineer in Training Certification.
+ Fluent in English with fluency in other languages (e.g. French, Spanish, Portuguese) considered an asset.
+ Previous internship and relevant experience in underground & surface mine planning, design and scheduling.
+ Experience in utilizing mine planning, design and scheduling software packages such as Vulcan, Deswik, Datamine, MineScape, Whittle, XPAC and Spry.

**Compensation:**
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $50,400 - $77,990
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
