**Job Title: E&I Technician** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled E&I Technician to conduct repairs and replacements on valves, instrumentation systems, level switches, electrical components, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience with instrumentation troubleshooting, installing various instrumentation, and working with air actuators. You will also be responsible for using process meters, pressure calibrators, temperature calibrators, flow transmitters, and volt simulators. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot valve signals and motion sensors. + Repair and replace valves, instrumentation systems, and electrical components. + Execute work order assignments, including repairs and preventive maintenance. + Operate VFDs, actuators, instrumentation controls, pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, and motor controls. + Handle solenoid valves, pneumatic switches, oil coolers, and electrical systems at 480V and 4160V. + Troubleshoot failed equipment, including VFDs, valve automation, and instrumentation. + Work with control systems, boiler controls, and motor controls. + Participate in calibration using HART communicators and other tools. **Essential Skills** + Experience with VFD, actuator, instrumentation controls, and pressure and flow transmitters. + Proficiency in valve automation, flow meters, pressure gauges, and level switches. + Knowledge of motor controls, sensors, solenoid valves, and pneumatic switches. + Experience with 480V and 4160V systems. + Skilled in troubleshooting and executing repairs on failed equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with heavy single line systems, boiler controls, and motor controls. + Knowledge of Rosemount and Fisher control valves. + Experience in oil & gas industry and with compressed air systems. + Familiarity with relay control logic and HART signaling. + Experience working with 40-20 milliamp signaling and discrete valve automation. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values its employees with excellent benefits, including paid vacation, 401k, and pension plans. Upon becoming permanent, shift assignments will be based on seniority and may include swing or graveyard shifts. The job is located in an industrial environment with potential exposure to confined spaces and outdoor work, where temperatures can get high in summer. As a union site, permanent employees are required to join the local union 501 (operators and engineers). The fermentation area has a unique smell, akin to soiled milk or fermented food . **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of SAN DIEGO, CA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $90729.60 - $90729.60/yr.
