Job Title: Electronics and Electrical System Design Analysis and Test Engineer
Job Description: Seeking an experienced ATE (Automated Test Equipment) Hardware operational and functional testing Software Engineer with a strong background in designing and developing software for testing Line Replacement Units (LRUs) across a diverse spectrum of Avionics products. The ideal candidate should possess a proficient level of experience in utilizing LabVIEW, NI TestStand, . and other NI tool suites such as NI-Max and NI-DaqMx libraries.
Key Responsibilities:
Experience of 5 to 8 Years in developing and testing software supporting Hardware and equipment testing requirements.
Design and develop software tailored for testing Avionics LRUs, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards.
Proficiency in LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and NI software tools for test automation and development.
Expertise in creating software interfaces for a wide array of instruments, including Power Supplies, DMMs, Analog, DIO, and network switches.
Proficient in designing and implementing software solutions for the precise measurement of various sensors, including temperature sensors (RTDs, Thermocouples), pressure sensors, flow sensors, RSLV, LVDT, etc.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to interface and optimize sensor functionalities within the test framework.
Proficient in developing VISA and IVI based instrument drivers for precise instrument control and measurement.
Troubleshoot diverse instrument hardware and Units under Test (UUTs) effectively.
Comprehend and utilize various product design and test documents, including product level requirements, Interface Control Documents, TRD Test Requirements Design, Qualification Test Plans, etc.
Extensive knowledge and experience in Avionics communication protocols such as ARINC 429, ARINC 825, ARINC 664, ARINC 818, and ARINC 717.
Familiarity with communication interfaces like RS-232, RS422, Ethernet, GPIB, SPI, and I2C.
Experience in developing desktop applications using C#.NET and WPF for test and control purposes.
Understanding and adherence to Aerospace process standards, especially AS9100.
Desirable understanding of the DO178 certification standards.
Preferably hold CLD or CLA certification in LabVIEW.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
4-7 years of hands-on experience in ATE software development for Avionics products using LabVIEW and other NI Tool suites.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and interpret technical documentation effectively.
