EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 120 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time DWI Case Manager to join our Suffolk County DWI Case Management Services program.
Salary: $30 per hour Location: Suffolk District Court - 400 Carleton Ave in Central Islip, NY Schedule: 9AM-5PM, Monday - Friday
Primary Purpose of Job:
The DWI Case Manager is responsible for assessment and assisting program participants in accessing a broad range of services, including alcohol and substance abuse treatment, and other supportive services.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct program screenings and assessments and follow-up interviews. Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration. Develop psychosocial assessments and treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team. Recruit participants for cognitive behavioral interventions and assist with scheduling and implementing Conduct sessions as needed. Assist clients with basic needs (housing, public assistance, medical services). Work with the Department of Probation to implement and monitor Secure Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) bracelet use. Monitor clients in treatment to support recovery. Maintain client records. Prepare written reports as needed. Investigate and arrange supportive services for clients. Escort clients to treatment facilities when indicated. Perform drug testing. Assist program evaluation staff in data collection.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
Bachelors degree in social or behavioral sciences required. CASAC preferred. Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments. Must have working knowledge of treatment programs and local criminal justice systems. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work cooperatively with treatment and criminal justice systems.What We Offer:
