The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time dual-rate Slot Machine Attendant and Floor Supervisor to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Slot Machine Attendant, you will be responsible for providing maintenance of gaming floor equipment and assisting guests as needed.

What will you do?Monitor slot machines and fix ticket paper as neededPerform adjustments and minor repairs to slot machines, resolving problems such as jams or machine tiltsDocument the specifics of malfunctioning machines needing repairPatrol assigned areas to ensure that players are following rules and machines are functioning correctlyProcess jackpot payouts by company and state gaming procedures

Responsibilities when acting as a supervisor

 

Follow New York State Gaming Commission regulations and proceduresPerform MOD (Manager on Duty) duties: make sound decisions with the best interest of the company in mindNotify managers of any guest needs and requests for follow-up to ensure good guest relationsSchedule all shifts of the Floor Attendants, and track attendanceLead by example in the skills of Guest service and positive interaction with associates, guests, and supervisors by mutual respect for all people’s needsDemonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill

More about youMust be 18 years of ageAbility to obtain and maintain a New York state gaming licenseAbility to perform basic math calculations and accurately handle large sums of moneyBasic slot machine knowledge preferredPrevious customer service experienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious supervisor or management experience preferred
