THE POSITION

TM1 & Reporting Insights is at the heart of finance forecasting, budgeting & analysis and are the major platforms on which Group Controlling planning & budgeting strategic aims are managed. The scope of this role is global, as part of Decision Support & Analytics (DS&A) team, covering the Research & Development Global Function.

This role:

Is the Subject Matter Expert for TM1 & Reporting Insight solutions within R&D perimeterLeads the deployment of TM1 solutions for R&D in line with agreed strategic and functional standards of TM1 Core Model, ensuring Master Data Management, Data Integrity & User Support & Training are planned and delivered across relevant Controlling Operations & R&D Finance teamsEnsures deployment, alongside Head of Data Visualisation & Dashboarding, of Reporting Insight solutionsEnsures appropriate Reporting Insights are delivered in line with R&D Finance & Controlling Operations requirementsCan understand complex business requirements and translate these to a TM1/PowerBI designed solutionIs responsible to ensure appropriate project management methodology is followed to develop, test & deploy project phasesMonitors progress to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met and risks/issues are appropriately managed/mitigatedEngages with project stakeholders & governance bodies to facilitate decision-making and escalation of risks & issuesResponsible to ensure all required SLA’s/KPI’s/Knowledge Transfer & Training plus Functional & Operational documentation is prepared and properly transitioned to relevant Controlling Operation teams

               

JOB SUMMARY

The role is responsible for the project deployment lifecycle activities (planning, testing, change management, knowledge transfer, training materials & final deployment) of standardised global TM1/Reporting Insight solutions for the R&D perimeter which are aligned with Group strategy. This includes:Working with relevant stakeholders, participate in the scoping, definition and design of the business requirementsLead the TM1 design model which meets both business needs and the strategic objectives of the Group.Lead the documentation of operational view on the overall architecture of any new/changes to the modules set up, ensuring scalability, simplification/ standardisation and efficient processesEscalate issues / change requests to TM1 Project GovernanceManage project teams to agreed prioritized deliverable and relevant milestonesManage functional processes including knowledge transfer & initial Controlling Operations training sessionsContribute to best practice sharing and continuous improvement plans; provide expertise as needed.Ensure appropriate change management plans are in place across relevant stakeholder groupsActively contribute to project governance processes and drive global / regional / local (if applicable) steering committees

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Design of the Solution

Support the Global Process Leads in gathering business process flow and requirements informationLead any required gap analysis/deep-dive sessions with relevant Business Process Owners & Subject Matter Experts to finalise TM1 design solutionsLead the TM1 design activities to produce relevant design documentation

Implementation

Lead project deployment activities, following most appropriate methodology. Coach and drive chosen methodology to effectively manage collaborative implementation activities across the project teamPresent verbal and written reports defining action plans, issues and resolutions, project status to all relevant project sponsors and stakeholdersEnsure that risks and issues are identified, formalized & communicated to the project/program managementMonitor progress, address change request, propose core model update to the Steering Committee / process owners (depending on topic)Testing & trainingEnsure robust System Integration Testing is performedDefine data and user acceptance testing criteriaManage and coordinate user acceptance testsEnsure appropriate TM1 functional documentation is created and effective knowledge transfer to Controlling Operation teams is performedSupport the creation of TM1 Operational documentation with Controlling Operations teams

Change Management

Together with representatives from the Global Process Owner team, carry out the change management activities

Impact assessment due to process changes, both functional and organizationalContribute into communication actionsSet up action plans and allocate rolesBe the change agent promoting the benefits of the proposed changeParticipate in workshops and touch points relevant stakeholders

About you

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

5+ years’ experience of working within Finance environments with exposure to Global/Regional teams    Demonstrate a good track record in controlling and / or accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a Pharmaceutical / Consumer Products industryExperience translating business needs into process and implementation requirements at Finance system project implementation environmentA strong knowledge of TM1 application would be a major advantageA understanding of R&D Finance Operational activities would be a major advantage

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Advanced understanding of Project Methodologies, including Waterfall, AgileBroad understanding of controlling and reporting processes (end to end view) as well as the main tools being used in the Group (SAP, TM1, etc.)3+ years’ experience of implementing systems across multiple countries/scopesKnowledge of modelling and design approach for TM1 solution and processesAbility to translate complex business needs into clear processes and frameworksAbility to manage complex projects (scope / interactions / numerous stakeholders)Fluent in written and verbal EnglishHoned Interpersonal Skills – active listening, strong presentation & communication skills with cultural awareness across senior levels of organizationAbility to train and coach team membersTenacity and energy in leading transformational changeAbility to stretch out of comfort zone; persistent with a strong focus on delivering resultsAutonomous, with strong self-management skills, agility to move with shifting priorities
