Our center specializes in Culinary Arts, Welding, Electronics Engineering, and Certified Medical Assistant training. EMPLOYMENT AT EXETER JOB CORPSEmployment at Exeter Job Corps is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, employment verification, education verification, professional reference check and motor vehicle record check. Here is the available schedule for this role: 20 hours per week - days and hours to be determined Salary: $25.72/hr This position is responsible for developing and facilitating the Center’s alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention program for students age 16-24. Educates and counsels students to reduce and prevent drug-related separations from the program. Develops individualized case management plans to enhance student retention and success. Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws. + Develops and implements alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention activities and integrates services into Center’s programmatic functions + Develops and coordinates community resources for educating students on substance use and abuse + Administers Center’s drug testing program to promote a drug-free environment + Responsible to provide students with comprehensive and individualized case management ensuring student progress, retention and completion of the Job Corps program. Establishes supportive/mentoring relationships with students throughout their enrollment and provides substance abuse counseling and education + Counsels students individually and in groups on substance abuse + Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner + Assists Wellness team with student intakes, including urine collection + Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications + High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor's degree preferred + Active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification that meets minimum state licensing or certification requirements to practice in RI + A minimum of one-year experience in drug/alcohol counseling or related field preferred. “Adams and Associates, Inc. abides by the requirements of 41 CFR §§ 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
