Job Description:

SUMMARY: 
    
Responsible for supervising all aspects of the Count Room/Casino Floor Drops and Counts which includes table games, kiosks, slot class II and III, and poker chips.  Responsible also for supervising the replenishment/destruction and tracking of playing cards, volcanic bingo balls, dice and TITO tickets and  ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State laws governing monetary transactions and company policies, procedures and controls.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

•    Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Perform excellent customer service at all time.

•    Ensures the integrity of all Count Transactions.

•    Assists in slot drop pick-ups, weighing, wrapping, canning and transferring the slot drop to the coin vault.

•    Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork in the Count Room.

•    Assists the Drop and Count Room Assistant Manager or Drop and Count Room Manager in keeping all equipment in good working condition.  

•    Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve Count Disputes.

•    Ensures adequate staffing levels in the Count Rooms, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining and terminating Team Members as needed.

•    Facilitates the flow of information by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all Team Members under his/her span of control.

•    Ensures to a high degree the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.

•    Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, as well as company policies, procedures and controls.

•    Ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State laws governing monetary transactions and company policies, procedures and controls.

•    Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.

•    Ushers as needed by management for events.

•    Performs any reasonable request made by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises the activities of all Drop and Count Room Team Members.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required. A minimum of 6 months experience as a Drop and Count Room Team    Lead is required.  

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions, furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
