Live receiving and recording of scheduled birds coming into plant for slaughterRegistered with state for weighing live poultryAdhere to Packers and Stockyard instructions for weighing Live PoultryMaintain effective communication with department staff, effectively anticipate slaughterneeds, and adjust slaughter schedule as neededAssist supervisor in the implementation of EHS procedures within the departmentMonitor for cleanliness of lot, sheds, trailer wash, and trucksFill in for supervisor working other shifts/when needed to cover for absencesCheck loaded trailers to ensure birds are contained humanely (all parts inside cage, fans
on when needed, no live birds on ground)Report any seen damage to trailersTrain new employees and assist with other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderMust have a valid driver's license and be able to pass all driver requirementsMust be able to communicate in English (read/write/speak) and have good communication, math andcomputer skillsMust be able to work in cold, wet, dry, and hot environmentsMust have good backing skills with a tractor trailerDemonstrated professional working relationships and has the ability to interact effectively with production
management, QA, USDA, accounting, live side, feed mill and all outside contractorsGood attendance, work performance, work relationships and safety recordsMust be able to work independently
