Driver Technician

The Senior Driver Technician is responsible for safely operating DOT-regulated vehicles to transport materials and equipment between locations. This role executes field service activities at customer sites efficiently and safely, including system troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment. The Technician must anticipate and rectify safety issues concerning both company and customer equipment. Direct customer interaction and the ability to manage tasks across various systems and locations are required. Additionally, the role involves loading and unloading the truck as part of the transportation duties. **Key Responsibilities:** + Foster and sustain a safe working environment and culture within the organization. + Maintain and care for company assets. + Demonstrate a high-impact culture through innovation, accountability, and empowerment. + Function effectively in a team setting and independently when needed. + Load and unload the truck safely and efficiently. + Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to assist customers after hours as necessary. **Driving and Compliance Requirements:** + CDL Class A is required. + Complete Driver Application for Employment. + Provide a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). + Compliance with required forms: + Driver Disclosure and Release + Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement + FMCSA Certificate of Awareness + Driver Certificate of Violations + Driver Statement of On Duty Hours + Road Test Document + Copy of Driver’s License and Medical Certificate + Specific division-dependent requirements apply. **High Impact Behaviors:** + Commit to continuous professional development and stay updated with industry trends. + Value collaboration and contribute to team goals with a diverse perspective. + Deliver results with a strong focus on efficiency and effectiveness. **Education & Experience Requirements:** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Possession of a CDL, Class A with relevant endorsements. + Industry-specific licenses are preferred. **Experience Requirements:** + Obtain required customer clearances (e.g., TWIC, DISA). + Must have a clean driving record and ability to obtain a DOT Medical card. + Capability to drive overnight and manage challenging routes. **Skill Requirements:** + Ability to work independently without direct supervision. + Strong technical expertise and Microsoft Office proficiency, including smart devices. + Proven customer service skills. + Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting abilities, and effective communication skills. + Ability to solve problems creatively, based on customer feedback and technical insights. **Compensation and Benefits:** The estimated salary range for this position is $27/hr to $34/hr. Starting pay is determined by skills, experience, and location.
