Job Description

Driver - Morning Shift (1 position)

The Forklift operator will be responsible to support Forklift operational functions of the Outdoor Brampton Distribution center an perform daily activities according to the quality procedures and established safe work standards of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to all company policies and procedures including Health and Safety, and Security policies.

Participate and follow all of the proper “on-job” training according to the assigned job functions (SOP’s training, etc.), and related support systems.

Assure that work areas are kept safe, organized and clean.

Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations.

Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility

Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions

Checking loads are secure

Stacking empty pallets

Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment

Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines

Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Other duties as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor

Qualifications and Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Current Certification (i.e. stock picker, reach, counterbalance) preferred

Must be able to pass written and driving equipment operator test

Must be able to read pertinent information in English on a RF device and carton

Must be quality and efficiency oriented

Must be able to lift cartons weighing up to 50 lbs

Must have a successful track record of working safely

Must be flexible and cooperative when asked to perform other duties

Must be able to walk/stand all day and bend, lift and push

Must be able to work from a platform that reaches 30 feet high

Perform daily inspections of equipment as needed
