Fleet Operations
Daily Dispatch: Coordinate and manage daily dispatch operations to ensure timely and efficient service
Route Management: Plan, optimize, and oversee routes to maximize efficiency and service quality
Driver Supervision: Manage and supervise drivers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards
Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate driver performance, conduct regular assessments, and provide coaching and feedback
Driver and Asset Utilization: Measure and monitor driver performance making sure we are fully utilizing our fleet to capacity
Administrative Duties
Payroll Management: Process and manage driver payroll, including hours tracking, overtime, and compensation accuracy
Scheduling: Create and maintain driver schedules, manage time-off requests, and ensure adequate coverage
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of routes, driver hours, vehicle logs, and incident reports
Compliance: Ensure all drivers maintain proper licensing and meet regulatory requirements
Safety & Quality
Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce safety standards, conduct safety meetings, and implement corrective actions
Incident Management: Investigate incidents and accidents, document findings, and implement preventive measures
Vehicle Oversight: Monitor vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, and coordinate necessary repairs
Customer Service: Address service-related concerns and maintain high satisfaction levels
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years in fleet management or transportation operations, preferably with local delivery services
Leadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop driver teams
Payroll Knowledge: Experience with payroll processing and time tracking systems
Dispatch Experience: Hands-on experience with dispatch operations and route planning
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of DOT regulations, safety compliance, and driver qualification requirements
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
Technology: Proficiency with fleet management software, dispatch systems, and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing private shuttle or employee transportation fleets
Familiarity with GPS tracking and fleet management technology
Background in logistics or distribution operations
Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
