**Driver Helper** **Paying $20 / HR to $24 / HR** **Location: Portland, OR** **Responsibilities:** + The Driver Helper assists the Driver in every aspect of product delivery to customer sites in an efficient and safe manner by following all company procedures. + Assist with properly loading trucks at the warehouse, and unloading at customer job site(s). + Helps ensure accurate delivery of product. + Properly use loading and unloading techniques to ensure safety of self and others and to eliminate damage to product. + Properly use equipment such as ramps, load-locks, straps, and hand trucks to ensure safety and minimal maintenance costs. + Provide world class customer service. + Assists the driver in spotting danger when driving, and provide directions as needed. + Properly store equipment and supplies in an effort to keep the truck organized. + Performs checklist of truck to ensure all safety equipment and supplies are available. + Cleans inside of truck. + Assists in an emergency with road flares or warning triangles, etc. + Supports other areas needed. **Environment / Shift:** + Warehouse production environment, manufacturer of doors & mouldings + Could be exposed to sawdust or other wood products + Will be required to lift heavy materials regularly; large doors, large bundles of mouldings.
