Driver Helper
**Job Title: Driver Helper** **Job Description** The Driver Helper assists the Driver in every aspect of product delivery to customer sites in an efficient and safe manner by following all company procedures. **Responsibilities** + Assist with properly loading trucks at the warehouse and unloading at customer job sites. + Ensure accurate delivery of products. + Properly use loading and unloading techniques to ensure safety and prevent damage to products. + Utilize equipment such as ramps, load-locks, straps, and hand trucks to ensure safety and minimize maintenance costs. + Provide world-class customer service. + Assist the driver in spotting potential dangers while driving and provide directions as needed. + Properly store equipment and supplies to keep the truck organized. + Perform a checklist of the truck to ensure all safety equipment and supplies are available. + Clean the inside of the truck. + Assist in emergencies with road flares or warning triangles. + Support other areas as needed. **Essential Skills** + Ability to perform heavy lifting. + Driving skills. + Experience with box trucks. + Forklift operation. + Knowledge of production processes. + Loading and unloading techniques. + Strong customer service skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + N/A **Why Work Here?** Enjoy catered team lunches, receive Starbucks gift cards on birthdays, participate in monthly raffles for cash prizes, and enjoy festive holiday events. **Work Environment** Work in a warehouse production environment manufacturing doors and mouldings. You may be exposed to sawdust or other wood products. This role requires regularly lifting heavy materials, such as large doors and bundles of mouldings, consistently throughout the shift, up to 100 pounds. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
