Shift/Schedule

40 hours per weekMonday – Friday Midnight to 8:00 am Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, hours, come in early, stay late, or work overtime based on business needs.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Pharmacy Services & Delivery is responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Responsibilities

Assigns delivery routes to drivers and makes adjustments as needed

Works in facilitating locations waste management and radiation safety. 

Processes incoming packages for pharmacy use

Performs equipment checks for daily usePerforms quality control testing Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers and dispatches to driversUses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation Processes packages returned from customer locationsMaintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairsPerforms general facility cleaning and other duties as needed

 Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience 2-4 years of experience, preferredMust hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving recordMinimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehiclePast dispatching experience a plusPrior delivery driving experience a plusBasic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents and understand safety policiesAbility to manage up to 75 poundsComfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hoursAbility to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of timeStrong customer service and communication skillsFlexibility to work various shifts or overtime as neededAbility to use computers and tablets
