**Job Title: Drill Press Operator** **Job Description** Join a dedicated team in the manufacturing of hydraulic cylinders within a bustling and dynamic environment. This role involves operating either the large or small drill press in a loud and industrial shop. Candidates must be comfortable with getting dirty and working hands-on, as coveralls are provided but the job can be very oily. The shop has an old-school mentality, requiring patience with self, colleagues, and older tools. **Responsibilities** + Operate drill press machines in the manufacturing of hydraulic cylinders. + Learn and adhere to safety and operational procedures. + Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area. + Lift materials up to 50 pounds as needed. + Engage in hands-on tasks such as assembly and basic machine operations. + Take detailed notes and ask questions to facilitate learning. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hand and power tools. + Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. + Understanding of basic math for manual measuring tools. + Patience and attention to detail in learning processes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in assembly or entry-level machine operation. + Capability to work on feet for extended periods. + Willingness to learn the use of micrometers and calipers. **Why Work Here?** This role offers room for growth and learning. This challenging yet rewarding setting is perfect for those eager to learn in a traditional industrial atmosphere, featuring CNC machines and welding. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
