Job Description

We are currently recruiting an Engineer with experience in in road and railway drainage design, to be based in the Spain Enterprise Capabilities Office in Madrid. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, incorporating a combination of both in-office and remote working schedules.

The successful candidate will join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering water designs for many years throughout the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand among others. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Global Delivery Center (Poland/Spain).

Here is what you will do:

Works on detailed engineering assignments involving drainage calculations and design for road or railway drainage.Performs hydraulics and drainage engineering work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.Accomplishes work autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC.Performs self-checks of work products before submission and participates in quality control reviews of documentation from equally or less experienced staff.Prepares project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members.Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership.CAD software (preferable AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer) accreditation will be considered favorable.Communicative level of English (oral and written).


Preferred Qualifications

Certificated in a drafting technology Institute, Technical or similar Professional Education or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
