What to expect: Martin Marietta is seeking a Dragline Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual is responsible for safely and efficiently operating an electric power-driven dragline with dragline bucket to excavate or move sand, gravel, mud, or other materials. The Dragline Operator will manage the dragline excavator and assist in the maintenance and service of the machine. Hours are 6 am - 4 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.A typical day for a(n) Dragline Operator may include:Operating an electric power-driven dragline with dragline bucket to excavate/move sand, gravel, mud, or other materials Conducting daily pre-shift inspections and documentation of the dragline operation and working conditions  Generating work requests using the maintenance planning programOperating mobile and plant equipment to facilitate the set-up and operation of the draglineOperating other mobile and plant equipment, including skid steer, front end loader, etc. in a safe manner if neededAdhering to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulationsAiding in dragline repairs and relevant maintenanceMaintaining housekeeping in areas of responsibilityAiding in the training of co-workers as needed Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor You may be a good fit if you: Possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent Have previous experience operating a dragline or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this positionHave 3 years’ experience operating heavy mobile equipment (preferred) Knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic operations (preferred)
