The drafter for model products receives data inputs from Otis Elevator sales offices and produces preliminary elevator drawings for use in the sales coordination process. The drafter for model products also produces final elevator drawings when elevator orders are released for production in our Florence, SC factory. The model products drafter also configures final bills of material for production use by our factory and suppliers.

On a typical day you will:

Create preliminary and final elevator drawings.

Configure bills of materials for elevator units.

Modify drawings and/or bills of materials for preapproved, non-standard requests

What you will need to be successful:

CAD software experience

Attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Solid organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Ability to work on cross-functional teams, respect individual differences, and welcome diverse thinking

Ability to approach the job with a sense of ownership in the outcome of the work

Champion of process improvement

Preferred: Experience working with Otis estimating and processing systems

Preferred: Elevator product knowledge

Qualifications

Minimum Education:  High school diploma

Preferred Education:  2-year degree

Minimum Experience: 2 years

Preferred Experience:  5 years
