BS or AS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; early-career drafter with manufacturing background
Capable of creating detailed engineering drawings and GD&T
Capable of performing tolerance stack-up analysis
Familiar with CAD modeling software (will review all major CAD)
Familiar with mechanical design principles
Familiar with applying material science within designs
Top 3 QualificationsProficiency in creating drawings with correct GD&T and manufacturable callouts
Proven capability in tolerance stack-up analysis
Hands-on familiarity with CAD modeling for production-ready parts
Preferred QualificationsExperience creating tools, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing
Experience with CATIA or Creo (other CAD considered)
Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, molding, fabrication)
Familiarity with common manufacturing equipment and shop practices
Job ResponsibilitiesProduce and update 2D drawings and 3D CAD models to defined standards
Execute tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure fit/function across assemblies
Apply material selection and basic material science to meet performance and cost targets
Release, revise, and manage CAD and drawing documentation through PLM/PDM workflows
Partner with manufacturing to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
Support creation of tooling, jigs, and fixtures in collaboration with manufacturing engineering
Maintain drawing/GD&T consistency with applicable standards (e.g., ASME Y14.5)
Pay Details: $29.00 to $32.00 per hour
