Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Drafter proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA for creating detailed 2D and 3D models and drawings for prototype components and assemblies. The role requires a strong understanding of tolerance stack-ups, manufacturing processes, and the ability to prototype and refine designs effectively. You will perform tolerance analysis and ensure all drawings include accurate dimensions, materials, and finishes. Additionally, you will translate complex technical concepts and procedures into understandable instructions using drawings, images, and text, essential for writing clear, concise, and visually supported instructions for builder airplane assembly.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with designers and engineers to clean up designs, red lines, and develop new prototypes.Create detailed 2D and 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.Perform tolerance analysis and ensure all drawings have accurate dimensions, materials, and finishes.Translate technical concepts into clear instructions using drawings, images, and text.Write and review manufacturing documentation including work instructions and manuals.Utilize MS Word and ERP systems/Excel for managing BOMs and assembly instructions.Essential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorks.Experience in drafting, specifically GD&T and redlining.Experience in manufacturing documentation writing and reviewing.Technical writing experience for work instructions, manuals, and assembly notes.Aviation or aircraft manufacturing experience and passion.Additional Skills & QualificationsA background in aerospace or aviation industry (nice to have)Experience with sheet metal design.Pilot license or desire to obtain one.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
