The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Doorperson to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.  

  

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.  

 

Classification: Seasonal

Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays. 

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $16.50 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. 

 

What will I be doing?

 

As a Doorperson, you will provide a transportation service to Guest and visitors as requested, where safety, cleanliness, and superior customer service are always included. A Doorperson contributes to the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

 

 

Welcome Guests on arrival and assist with their luggageOversee delivery and safe keeping of luggage, keep the luggage room in orderStay current on all hotel services as well as VIP requirements and special eventsDemonstrate a current knowledge of external locations, attractions and landmarks in the vicinityProvide support to the Concierge in cases of emergencyComply with all hotel security, fire regulations and Health and Safety legislationProject a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service

What are we looking for?

Doorpersons serving Hilton brands are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

Previous driving experience preferably in the hotel, leisure or retail sectorImpeccable personal presentation with good communication skillsEnergy and enthusiasm with an eye for detailCalm, courteous and discreetA passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest serviceGood grooming standards

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Previous experience in as Doorperson or Concierge in busy hotels
