Job Introduction

We’re looking for a Domestic Laundry Assistant to join our Sodexo team at Royal Stoke Hospital. In this vital role, you’ll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.  What you’ll do:

Launder dirty MopsLift cages of wet mops once LaunderedCollect dirty mops and distribute clean mops back out to zones using cages to transport mopsKeep mop counts via Excel SpreadsheetPerform daily tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, floor polishing, and replenishing supplies within your work areaEmpty waste bins and manage refuse in line with hospital protocols within your work areaPromote and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all patients, staff, and visitors

Physical capability to carry out this physically demanding roleA friendly, customer-focused attitude with a willingness to go the extra mileA strong commitment to health and safety standardsProfessionalism, integrity, and a neat, presentable appearanceIT Skills (ability to use excel)Good communication skillsPrevious experience from cleaning and factory background (desirable)
