Job DescriptionScope of Position:
The Domestic Inbound Accounting, Tracking & Tracing Agent for the Domestic Inbound team (referred to as the “Transcon” team at Expeditors) is responsible for overseeing all financial activities related to inbound shipments. This includes managing destination charges, ensuring accurate and timely billing, maintaining clean and auditable financial records, and posting transactions promptly. The role also involves daily tracking of inbound shipments to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and key performance indicators (KPIs), while accurately recording revenue and associated costs.
Position Schedule: Sunday – Thursday: Sunday 7am-4pm, Monday-Thursday 9am-6pm
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Track and trace inbound files for timely delivery and to meet operational performance standards and all KPI’sLog and dispatch files for deliveryUpdate Expeditors offices of extra special handling requirementsUpdate files with necessary event codesSettle and close out files Review invoices and send chargesManage White Glove and review special billing proceduresReview service provider billing sheetsMonitor accountingReview reporting to ensure freight is moving in a timely mannerEmail and follow up exception shipments with origin officesReview files and complete billing QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalent requiredSuccessful candidates must pass a background checkMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust not require future sponsorship for employment visaFluent in English, both written and verbalMust have the ability to work overtime in support of the department’s needsMust be able to commute to the city of Hawthorne, CAComfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skillsComfortable working in a professional business environmentDesired Qualifications:
