About the role:

We are looking for a Domain Expert with strong expertise in IED data extraction to join our team and drive the integration, analysis, and optimization of data from industrial automation systems. This role focuses on leveraging advanced data extraction techniques and communication protocols, such as IEC 61850 MMS, to support operational efficiency, diagnostics, and decision-making processes in energy and industrial environments.

As a key contributor, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to configure, extract, and analyze data from IEDs, ensuring seamless integration with industrial systems and other platforms. Your knowledge of programming, data analytics, and industrial communication protocols will be essential in developing solutions that enhance system reliability and performance. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement data analysis models and algorithms to support operational efficiency and decision-making processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data from protection devices using the 61850 MMS interface. Design and maintain software applications using Python and C++ to facilitate data processing and visualization. Utilize Docker for containerization and deployment of applications in a cloud or on-premise environment. Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to streamline development and deployment processes. Commissioning and troubleshooting for on-premise machines and systems. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data science and oil and gas technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience with the 61850 MMS interface for protection devices. Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with experience in software development and data analysis. Familiarity with Docker and experience in building and managing containerized applications. Knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD practices and tools. Understanding of the IEC 61850 OPC UA model and its application in the oil and gas industry. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
