DOD Contracts Manager | Hybrid in Chantilly, VA | 120k - 140k/yr | 6-month contract-to-hire
Job Description
Provide hybrid advice to business/client units and project teams on contract management and policy compliance matters. Initiate, track, and monitor contract changes, deliverables, correspondence, and risks, while maintaining associated documentation.
Responsibilities
Respond to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.Identify risks and issues, and suggest alternatives that lead to the best solution.Review and manage contractual obligations of the parties, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.Prepare and disseminate information regarding proposals, contract status, compliance, modifications, etc.Manage the contract day-to-day by advising on strategic direction, contract interpretation, and consequences of action/inaction.Proactively resolve issues and disputes, minimize potential for litigation, and foster protection of reputation.Act as a liaison between the client, project team and/or business unit, and Legal to ensure all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly.Implement contract management processes.Inform the project team of the contract requirements and monitor compliance.Develop and integrate contract management tools, templates, methods, and processes for engagements.Achieve a reasonable understanding of major business areas to communicate effectively with project Senior Executives and provide relevant advice.Provide training to Contract Management or program personnel when needed.Essential Skills
Contracts administration.Knowledge of FAR and Federal Contracts.7+ years of experience with DFAR.Cradle-to-grave contracts experience, including risk management.Experience presenting to Executives and Contracting Officers.Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.Additional Skills & Qualifications
7 years of Contract Management experience, including negotiations.4 years of experience in a government contracting environment.Work Environment
The role requires the ability to work both in-person in Chantilly or Arlington for executive meetings and remotely. The environment is fast-paced, requiring efficient management of workload.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $57.69 - $74.51/hr.
