The Enterprise Data Management team within Thales in the Netherlands is looking for an experienced Document Manager to further professionalize document management within Thales Netherlands.

The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team is a central team facilitating centralized data and document management of the Thales Netherlands organisation. The team consists of different data and document management experts who deliver relevant and adequate data and information solutions in close collaboration with business stakeholders.

As a Document Manager within our EDM (Enterprise Data Management) team, you will play a key role in advancing our data-driven strategy, with document management as one of our six strategic pillars. You’ll collaborate closely with passionate data and document management experts to streamline the way we create, manage, and leverage critical business information across the organization.
In this dynamic position, you’ll oversee innovative document management initiatives, support process improvements, and help shape solutions that drive operational efficiency and compliance. Your contributions will help embed best practices and state-of-the-art tools, ensuring secure, accessible, and well-organized documentation that empowers our teams to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement robust document management strategies to ensure efficient creation, storage, retrieval, and disposal of organizational documents.Oversee the document management process, ensuring that changes to documents and templates are accurately recorded, distributed and controlled.Experience with document metadata management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enhance document management workflows, maintaining a seamless integration with other Thales processes and applications.Strong understanding of document management tools and their configurations.Proven ability to administer and configure digital solutions and related IT applications.Establish and enforce document management best practices, providing training to team members and stakeholders as needed.Conduct regular reviews to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of document repositories.Interface with internal and external auditors to demonstrate compliance with document management requirements.Act as a key point of contact for document-related queries, providing expertise and support to various departments.Collaborate with Business Improvement, Configuration Management, Quality and IT teams to implement and optimize document management systems, addressing technical challenges and ensuring system reliability.About you

Furthermore, you have:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.Several years of experience in similar positions.Proven experience in document managementIn-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to document management.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.Experience selecting, implementing, and optimizing document management systems.Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.Project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing complex initiatives.Certification in document management is a plus.Have a good proficiency in English, both verbally and written.
