Overview
The Document Controller is responsible for establishing and managing efficient systems for processing all project-related documentation, including contractor communications, design and construction documents, and other internal or external records. This role ensures accurate tracking, organization, and distribution of documents throughout the project lifecycle.
Your role
Act as the primary document control interface between the client and Consultant
Manage all incoming and outgoing project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project documentation requirements.
Register, track, and control documents, drawings, technical submissions, and correspondence using the approved Document Management System Tool (DMS).
Ensure proper document numbering, revision control, metadata accuracy, and adherence to project naming conventions.
Receive, and verify documentation submitted by consultants for compliance with standard project documentation.
Distribute documents to relevant client departments for review and approval.
Monitor review cycles, follow up on overdue responses, and ensure timely return of comments to consultant
Provide training and ongoing support to clients on document control procedures and use of the Document Management System (DMS).
Perform other duties as requested from time to time.
About you
Minimum of 5 years of work-related experience.
Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.
In -depth knowledge of document control systems and procedures such as registration, monitoring, coordination, Reporting.
Degree qualified: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field, IT preferred.
Must be able to communicate confidently in both written and spoken English.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office Tools.
Comprehensive knowledge of EDMS applications.
Experience in using Oracle ACONEX is a must.
