Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our organization's documentation systems, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company standards.
Coordinate all activities related to document control procedures, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondenceReceive, process, and distribute incoming documents and correspondenceMaintain an efficient filing system for easy retrieval of documentsInput document data into standard registers, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-dateGenerate various document control reports as requiredManage and track Requests for Information (RFIs) from subcontractors and clientsPrepare daily and weekly status reports on document activitiesEnsure controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are distributed to appropriate staff, subcontractors, and suppliersMaintain updated records of all approved documents and drawings and their distributionSafeguard documents and drawings in the Document Control office, ensuring easy traceability and prevention of damage or deteriorationCollaborate with various departments to streamline document control processes and improve efficiencyAssist in the implementation and maintenance of document management software systemsQualificationsBachelor's degree in any field; additional qualifications in document management or related fields are a plusProven experience as a Document Controller, preferably in the construction or engineering industryProficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of document control procedures and best practicesExperience in handling technical documents and drawingsFamiliarity with RFI processes and tracking systemsStrong data entry and typing skills with high accuracyAbility to generate clear and concise reportsGood understanding of filing systems and records managementCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentAdaptability to learn new software and systems as requiredAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
