Document Controller
Description We are looking for a highly organized Document Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Columbia, South Carolina. This role is integral to ensuring the integrity and accessibility of both physical and digital documents within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining document security, compliance, and efficient workflows while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: • Manage the organization, storage, and retrieval of physical and digital documents to ensure secure and efficient access. • Oversee document review processes, including distribution, version control, and change management. • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain accurate records to support audits and inspections. • Perform data entry tasks with precision to maintain comprehensive document databases. • Collaborate with teams to facilitate document updates and ensure effective communication across departments. • Implement systems for indexing and searching to streamline document management processes. • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information while managing access permissions. • Develop and enforce procedures for document disposal and archiving as per company policies. • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for document creation, editing, and organization. • Support multiple projects simultaneously through effective prioritization and time management. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel. • Strong attention to detail to ensure document accuracy and completeness. • Demonstrated organizational skills for managing filing systems and document workflows. • Experience with change control processes, including document revisions and updates. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with teams and stakeholders. • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality. • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. • Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree in business, technical, or project management field, or significant experience in administrative support.
