**42385BR** **Requisition ID:** 42385BR **Business Unit:** ISU **Job Description:** CDM Smith is seeking a Document Controller to support the Aqaba Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance Project- AAWDCP Procurement Support Contract (APSC), in which CDM Smith provides assistance to the Ministry of Water and Irrigation in Jordan- MWI, as owner advisor through the negotiation, financial close and implementation phases of the National Conveyor Project (NCP). Position Summary: The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, controlling, and maintaining all project-related documentation in both Arabic and English to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with contractual and quality standards. The role requires working closely with multidisciplinary teams, government stakeholders, and international partners to ensure seamless information flow during contract negotiations, pre-construction, and construction phases of the project. Primary Responsibilities • Document Management & Control o Prepare, format, register, and maintain all project documentation (technical, contractual, and commercial) in accordance with project requirements. o Ensure accurate version control and proper distribution of documents to relevant project team, relevant entities and stakeholders. o Maintain detailed, organized records of correspondence, revisions, approvals, and transmittals. o Control access, storage, and retrieval of documents using approved systems and filing structures. o Work with internationally adopted cloud-based Document Management Systems (DMS) such as Aconex, SharePoint, Procore, Viewpoint, Newforma, Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Box Enterprise, and OpenText Documentum, to ensure secure, efficient, and traceable documentation workflows. o Coordinate document control activities with Document Controllers from MWI and the Project Company to ensure alignment and consistency across all parties. • Stakeholder Coordination o Work in direct coordination with Project and Technical Managers. o Liaise with engineering, legal, and project management teams to ensure timely document flow. o Support and administer coordination with Government of Jordan authorities, Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI), project company, EPC contractor, and other stakeholders. o Facilitate document exchange and ensure compliance with communication protocols. • Meeting Support & Reporting o Assist in preparing agendas, compiling materials, and recording minutes for meetings with United States and Jordan governments, Ministry of Water and Irrigation, assigned committees, Project Company, EPC contractors etc. o Track action items and follow up on documentation arising from meetings. o Support the preparation and submission of technical reports, administrative reports, memos, and presentations. • Quality & Compliance o Ensure all document control activities meet project-specific requirements, company policies, quality standards, and contractual obligations. o Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to submission. o Ensure bilingual documentation (Arabic/English) accuracy and consistency. • General Support o Provide administrative assistance to the project team as needed. o Perform additional duties as assigned by Project and Technical Managers. \#LI-JM1 **Job Title:** Document Controller, Jordan **Group:** IDG **Employment Type:** Local **Minimum Qualifications:** • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field. • Computer proficiency or equivalent certification proving proficiency in standard office and document management software. • Minimum 8 years’ experience in document control on large infrastructure or EPC projects. • Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken). • Strong knowledge of document control procedures, filing systems, and cloud-based DMS platforms (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, or equivalent). • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary, cross-cultural teams. • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Understanding of contractual, technical, and commercial documentation. **Why CDM Smith?:** Check out this video and find out why our team loves to work here!
