Document Control Specialist
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented document control specialist to support both documentation and project coordination efforts within a highly technical, regulated environment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that service procedures, training programs, and compliance documentation are accurate, accessible, and aligned with industry standards. This will be a 6-month contract opportunity. + Produce clear, user-friendly documentation for complex electromechanical equipment, including service procedures, testing protocols, and maintenance instructions. + Work closely with technical teams, engineers, and learning specialists to extract expert knowledge and convert it into standardized technical content. + Revise and enhance existing documents to reflect system updates or procedural improvements, ensuring they are stored correctly within designated repositories. + Maintain documentation in accordance with regulatory frameworks such as ISO 13485, contributing to an organized and audit-ready quality management system. + Monitor progress across engineering tasks and compile updates into regular reports that highlight performance trends and quality indicators. + Contribute to the development of technician training programs by designing instructional content, including diagrams, step-by-step guides, and quick-reference sheets. + Coordinate with training staff to ensure technical documentation supports defined learning goals and practical skill development. + Take part in documentation audits and review sessions to identify areas for improvement and reinforce continuous quality enhancement practices. Requirements + Minimum of 3 years experience producing step-by-step procedural content for hardware systems involving electrical and mechanical components + Familiarity with documentation practices required in structured quality environments, including those aligned with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or similar industry standards + Strong critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and process improvement + Effective communicator with the ability to convey technical information clearly in both written and verbal formats + Comfortable managing competing priorities and shifting deadlines in a dynamic setting + Highly organized, with exceptional accuracy and focus on document consistency + Skilled in using productivity software, particularly Excel and other Microsoft Office tools TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
