Summary

The Don Plant Document Control position works under the direction of the Process Engineering manager and supports the plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams through their responsibility for the document management process at the Don Plant. 

Key Responsibilities Plant Project Database - Organizing the documentation for projects executed at Don Plant and coordinating with project managers to ensure documentation is submitted in an organized and timely fashion. Document Center - Monitor and manage document workflow including creation / retirement of documents, document reviews, etc. The Document Center contains operating, maintenance, and LOTO procedures; training documents; OLCDs; plant policies; and other documents critical for the operation of the Don Plant. Drafting - Document Control position will be responsible for small drafting requests including P&IDs, PFDs, piping isometrics, machine shop drawings, loop drawings, and single line drawings. Typically, 3D CAD, general arrangements, CSA drawings, etc. will not be within the scope of this position. Equipment Files - Work with plant engineering and maintenance to ensure that equipment files are created and removed as needed. File documents in both physical and digital equipment files and ensure that appropriate documentation is received and kept up to date. Safe Work Permit Retention – Manage the retention of Hot Work and Confined Space SWPs. Plant Drawing Database – Manage the creation and modification of plant drawings. Work with 3rd party consultants, project managers, and plant personnel to find drawings and manage the workflow for creation and editing of drawings. Typical Education High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Relevant Experience 3+ years experience and or training
