A Dock & Drink Food Truck Cook 2 should have professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures. Dock & Drink Food Truck Cooks will work multiple stations in the food truck and require light supervision and training. This role requires a professional approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a high pressure, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have flexible availability including weekends and holidays. ****This position will be working outdoors/under a covered outdoor kitchen.**** This is a seasonal role with the assignment expected to start in April 2026 and due to end in October 2026. The end date is subject to change. This position is based at our seasonal outdoor venue, Dock & Drink, and will involve exposure to varying weather conditions. Prepare mise en place for your station and ensure all ingredients are prepped. Organized and ready for service each day. + Execute the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to the restaurant’s standards and recipes, ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness. + Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, ensuring that all dishes meet the established taste, texture, and presentation criteria. + Collaboration. Work closely with other kitchen staff, including cooks and chefs, to maintain a smooth workflow during service. Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed. + Assist with inventory control, ensuring proper stock rotation, minimal waste, and timely replenishment of ingredients. + Maintaining workstation: Keep your workstation clean, organized, and stocked throughout service adhering to health and safety regulations. + Ensuring food safety. Follow all food handling, sanitation, storage and rotation protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. + Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring orders are completed accurately and efficiently within the required time frames. + Assist with the ordering process by communicating par levels to the Chef ahead of time **Wage Information:** The salary range for this position is $24.50 to $31.85. The starting hourly rate is $24.50. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education. **Qualifications:** ****Must be over the age of 18**** **Experience:** + Refined verbal communication skills. + 1-2 years of previous line experience in a high volume/fast paced environment preferred. + Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred. + Candidate should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills. + Able to work all stations in the food truck. + Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. + A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to stand for long periods of time in a hot kitchen. + Possess food handler’s card. + Strong organization and time management skills + Knowledge of kitchen appliance operation + Cooler/Inventory Management **Benefits & Perks:** As a colleague, we have you covered with awesome benefits and perks!
