Summary
The Divisional Vice President of Sales – Focused Service is a newly created role designed to support company’s continued growth. This executive leader will oversee sales and revenue generation across a portfolio of 9+ focused service hotels (primarily Hilton-branded) located in San Antonio, Houston, and Baton Rouge.
The successful candidate will be a proven hospitality sales leader with Hilton brand experience, strong owner and brand relations skills, and the ability to mentor and inspire property-level sales teams. This role combines direct selling responsibilities with a focus on training, coaching, and building high-performing teams, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and alignment with company culture of investing in people.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement divisional and property-specific sales strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize market share.
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to property-level sales teams.
+ Partner with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to ensure cohesive and aligned strategies.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, brand representatives, and ownership groups.
+ Monitor sales performance through regular review of revenue reports, market trends, and comp set data.
+ Conduct property visits to evaluate sales execution, provide coaching, and support local strategies.
+ Ensure proactive prospecting and account management activities are driving measurable business results.
+ Support company development pipeline by assisting with sales pre-opening planning, training, and launch strategies.
+ Serve as a culture ambassador by upholding company’s values and fostering a performance-driven, people-focused environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
+ Indirect oversight of all property Directors of Sales within the division.
+ Provide direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure sales success across the portfolio.
Unique Aspects of the Role
+ Unlike comparable positions that oversee double the number of hotels, this role is intentionally designed to be focused and manageable.
+ Heavy emphasis on direct selling while also building and strengthening the sales team.
+ Candidates will not be overwhelmed initially — responsibilities will start with a few hotels and expand gradually as the role ramps up.
+ Property count may increase to 12 or more in the future, but the immediate focus is on quality execution and team development.
Compensation & Logistics
+ Base Salary: $130,000–$140,000
+ Bonus: Competitive incentive structure
+ Travel: Up to 50% (site visits as needed)
+ Location: Preferred in Houston; relocation assistance available. Candidates may also reside in a city with a property (e.g., San Antonio).
+ When not traveling, the VP will be onsite in the office.
Qualifications
+ Minimum 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years overseeing multiple focused service properties.
+ Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales and revenue strategies across diverse markets.
+ Strong knowledge of focused service brands (Hilton, Marriott, IHG) and their sales systems.
+ Demonstrated success in building high-performing sales teams and mentoring senior sales leaders.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
+ Strong financial acumen and analytical ability with experience in revenue forecasting and budgeting.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred; advanced degree a plus.
