As a Divisional Finance Manager, you will oversee accounting and financial reporting, managing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting tasks in accordance with GAAP and internal policies while maintaining effective internal controls. In this role, you will be responsible for all cash and bank account activities for Cleveland Clinic, including booking and reconciling patient co-pays in collaboration with Treasury and Revenue Cycle Management to ensure a positive patient experience. Additionally, you will coordinate with Corporate Accounting on non-patient-related incoming funds, such as rebates and miscellaneous revenue. This role provides broad exposure to the Clinic’s operations by working closely with multiple departments, locations, and institutes to support overall cash management and financial integrity.
A caregiver in this role works remotely from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
During the onboarding process, there may be some in-person meetings at CCAC, (Beachwood, Ohio)or West Creek in (Independence, Ohio.) Additionally, in-person meetings may be requested occasionally based on work in Corporate Accounting or collaboration with other departments.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Supervise the preparation, analysis and timely resolution of all account reconciliations.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
Coordinate and facilitate accounting documentation, policies, procedures and internal controls.
Staff, manage and motivate assigned team members.
Ensure consistent and optimal overall work product.
Lead projects and perform required analysis.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
Three years of demonstrated financial management experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Health care experience
Strong accounting background
Knowledge in booking journal entries, performing account reconciliations and working through ad-hoc analyses
Experience reviewing accounts variances and unusual variances
Experience managing and leading a team of employees
Experience using Excel, Oracle and working in an ERP system
Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
