Position Summary: The Division Materials Manager will provide leadership of Materials Management activities for the division in support of the Parker WIN Strategy. Will develop and execute strategies in Supply Chain Management activities include materials planning; scheduling; inventory control; cash flow management; information flow and coordination; and asset management. This role will have direct reports. This role is responsible for the Materials Management for the Stratoflex Products Division. Position will report to the Division Supply Chain Manager. Will lead materials management team members. Work with suppliers, business units, procurement, planners, I/T and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through order fulfillment. Matrix management responsibilities with operations and support groups for planning, logistics, shipping, receiving and inventory functions. Essential Functions: • Promote and foster safe work environment • Manages overall strategic planning practices • Owns and manages the inventory plan for the division as well as the process and procedures around projecting and forecasting inventory. • Implements a lean approach to materials management including material flow and inventory control • Improve processes around demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure the availability of all materials and products at minimum cost • Ensure PFEP & capacity planning activities to support division performance • Analyzes inventories and develops and executes plans to balance Inventory % of Sales and optimize customer service • Collaborates with business partners to optimize customer experience by utilizing buying and reselling strategies and warehouse management • Establishes and implements standard re-order and delivery procedures • Balances supply with demand through Sales and Operations Planning implementation and execution with the minimum amount of Parker’s capacity • Utilizes forecasting tools to create effective demand management processes • Employs data analysis and information technology to improve division performance • Responsible for part data accuracy (item master) • Create development plans for materials management team members and ensure talent pipeline is in place for key functions Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in business, engineering, or materials management required with certification in materials management and quality preferred. • Minimum of 6 – 8+ years applicable experience in materials management, supply chain or operations • Extensive managerial experience in state-of-the-art materials management systems including supply chain management, cash flow and asset management, JIT, MRPII, cellular manufacturing and with APICS/CPM certification preferred. • Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities. • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. • Working knowledge of Microsoft PC software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, databases and presentations).
