Division Manager for Prototyping, Manufacturing and Integration (PMI) Division
**Description** ARA is seeking a strategic Division Manager (DM) for our PMI Division in Huntsville, AL. The division comprises ≈130 staff providing rapid prototyping as well as on-site operations analytical support for a diverse portfolio of customers including the Army Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO), US Marine Corps (USMC) PEO Land Systems, and Headquarters Air Force Information Operations Division. As the DM of our PMI Division, you will have the unique opportunity to lead our transition from a rapid prototyping organization to a blend of rapid prototyping and full-rate production, supported by talented ARA manufacturing and quality engineers and external consultants with an anticipated start date of 6 April 2026. **PMI Division Manager Minimum Qualifications** + 16+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree (or 14+ years with a graduate degree) in an engineering, science, or business-related field + Demonstrated experience managing a division, group, higher-level business unit or similar + Ability to obtain a top-secret clearance + Demonstrated capabilities in + growing and managing a division, group, or business unit + high level leadership and strategic planning + personnel management and development + business development and proposal management + technical oversight and leadership + business management and organizational skills + organizational change management + Qualified candidates must be located in, or willing to relocate to, Huntsville, AL **PMI Division Manager Preferred Qualifications** + Current ARA employees with experience managing a group or higher-level business unit within the organization will be given preference + Must be eligible to receive or have an active DoW security clearance **PMI Division Overview** PMI currently has ≈ 130 employees. The main office is in Huntsville, AL. Major customers include the Army Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO), USMC PEO Land Systems, and Headquarters Air Force Information Operations Division. Key capabilities of the division include engineering, metal work/fabrication and assembly, composites, textiles, chemistry lab, painting, and operations analytical support services. The division is transitioning from a focus on rapid prototyping to a blend of rapid prototyping and full rate production. PMI has the following major directorates and groups: + **_Customer Portfolio Groups_** : Approx. 15 personnel. Three GLs overseeing major customer portfolios (Army, USMC, USAF). GLs responsible for all aspects of delivering projects on schedule and budget. + **_Capabilities Group_** : Approx. 75 personnel. GL oversees capabilities development supporting all product development. Primary work areas are chemistry lab, soft goods (textiles), composites, paint, fab/build, and engineering. + **_Information Advantage Group:_** 10 personnel. PMI supports the TSMO Information Advantage Division through two main efforts: 1) the Threat OPSEC Team conducts data driven strategies to effect COCOM OPSEC programs, and 2) the Operations Integration Team designs, coordinates, and optimizes operational processes to ensure efficient, effective and mission aligned day to day execution. + **_Outreach and Innovation Group_** : Approx. 5 personnel. Primary work areas are advancing state of the art in core division capabilities, developing new/adjacent customer opportunities, and providing a training and field service engineer (FSE) capability. + **_Admin & Logistics_** : Approx. 30 personnel. Primary work areas are administration (DA), health and safety (HSA), quality, recruiting, facilities management, warehouse operations, security (FSO/ISSM), transportation and maintenance. **To apply, please submit the following with your application by Friday, 6 March 2026:** + Statement of qualifications (2 pages max).
