Work closely with general manager, business units and other management teams in the group/division. In this role you will need to be a:
+ Strategic Partner – understanding of and involvement in business issues, participation in business task forces, lead talent & succession programs, provide program management of workforce planning, skills assessment, succession planning, learning and development, champion of company culture and management practices.
+ Employee Champion – lead programs that provide employee’s open, candid and frequent information-sharing with management, develop employee engagement tactics, develop self-directed teams, ensure inclusion, and ensure the work environment provides opportunity for recognition and openness.
+ Operational Expert – delivery, continuous improvement and automation of HR processes such as benefits administration, performance management, employee record keeping, recruitment/staffing process & strategies, occupational health/safety, compensation/pay activities.
+ Change Agent – act as liaison for leading and motivating change, assist in the modification of systems and structures to support needed change, measure progress of change and institute change management tools and concepts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Work to continuously improve the level of customer service provided to internal/external customers. Ensure department is responsive to resolving employee issues and concerns.
+ Develop recruiting strategies.
+ Assist in assessing needs, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating division training initiatives; ensure training is directly related to business goals.
+ Manage the division succession planning process. Oversee the division performance management practices.
+ Develop and monitor the department budget and business plan. Create Division reports as required.
+ Ensure adherence to Corporate EEO/AAP policies; administer HR policies.
+ Work towards continuously improving the automation of HR practices.
+ Increase the effectiveness of division communication programs. Encourage the utilization of employee recognition programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Human Resources or a related field with ten years in human resource management.
+ Understanding of HR related laws, including, but not limited to, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title 7, Age Discrimination Act, and state law statutes.
+ Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills, ability to establish a rapport with others required along with effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues with tact and diplomacy.
+ Technical knowledge or familiarity with both professional and manufacturing environments.
+ Experience in maintaining positive employee relations and a highly engaged workforce; recognize and reward employee contributions.
+ Travel required to all EPM locations.
