**Role Purpose**
The Division Engineering Portfolio Analyst supports the day-to-day management and analysis of the Engineering Portfolio. This role ensures the accuracy and timely updates of project data for Fusion Tech & Engineering, aligned with the broader technology strategy and roadmap. The analyst provides financial tracking, forecasting, and analytical insights to support resource optimization and strategic decision-making.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Major Responsibilities**
+ Maintain and validate portfolio projects, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
+ Analyze project updates and trends to support prioritization and decision-making.
+ Monitor capital expenditures against budgets and forecasts.
+ Support team leader with insights on portfolio alignment, Appropriation Request (AR) excellence and spending review.
+ Assist in prioritizing Division Engineering (D&E) projects based on the technology roadmap and budget constraints.
+ Identify and implement improvements to portfolio management tools, reporting workflows, and decision-making processes.
1. **Key Decision Areas**
+ Recommend capital allocation strategies and spending levels across the portfolio,
+ Propose enhancements to forecasting accuracy and portfolio analysis tools.
**3. People Responsibilities** Good communication skills at all levels, this person will interact on a frequent basis with our finance analysts and leaders, division engineering staff and project managersThis role will report to Division Engineering Capital/Expense Portfolios Lead
**4. Quantitative Responsibilities** Track and analyze capital spending to ensure alignment with forecasts and budgets.Partner with finance and engineering teams to improve forecast precision and reporting quality.
**Competencies (knowledge, skills, and behaviors)**
**Experiences/Education - Required**
+ Undergraduate degree in engineering preferred. Master in Business Administration (MBA) a plus
+ Demonstrated comfort with technology
+ Financially savvy, ability to work with cost analysis (cost modelling skills highly preferred)
+ Proficiency in portfolio management and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar).
+ Project management experience and demonstrated skills
+ Comfortable working with digital platforms and tools for portfolio tracking.
