Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Division Director of Nursing for the Surgery Ventures Group ensures high quality, patient-centered care through effectively resourcing while providing expertise on clinical care operations within the division. The Director coordinates and effectively communicates operational standards and best practices to further enhance clinical outcomes and patient experience. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of SVG strategies, policies, and procedures in support of center objectives and evidence based practices. The Director of Nursing evaluates and acts on opportunities identified in nursing care delivery, professional development, and evidence-based practices working closely with the SVG CNE. **What you will do in this role:** + Cultivates a superior clinical environment by identifying and communicating evidence-based practices regarding clinical care to advance patient safety and quality outcomes, in collaboration with the SVG Medical Director and leadership team. + Supports adherence to standards of care through effective communication with SVG leadership and sharing of evidence-based practices across SVG and Division. + Manages variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost. + Assists to ensures a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care. + Stays abreast of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations and actively pursues efforts to achieve. + Stays abreast of legal and regulatory standards and ensures these are communicated with SVG leadership teams. Assists to monitor compliance. + Collaborates with SVG Leadership team and actively participates with the Chief Nursing Executive in strategic planning, goal setting, program development and establishment of outcomes and methods of measurement. + Acts as an extension of human resources ensuring robust hiring processes including peer interviews, participating in nursing leader interviews, providing orientation and training, retention activities including proactive rounding, recognizing and promoting professional development opportunities, and supporting SVG recognition programs, and assessing nursing turnover reduction strategies and feedback. + Pursues academic affiliation agreements and other opportunities to proactively source and develop future nurses. + Participation in Nurse Practice Council and applicable SVG Committees to ensure development activities promote the nursing agenda and incorporate desired outcomes. + Act as a liaison to the ASC staff for state nursing boards keeping abreast of updates and required reporting. **What is needed for this role:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is Required + Master’s Degree is Preferred + 3+ years applicable leadership experience is Preferred + 5+ years applicable clinical experience is Required + Experience in PACU or OR is Preferred "The great hospitals will always put the patient and the patient's family first, and the really great institutions will provide care with warmth, compassion, and dignity for the individual."- Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr. HCA Healthcare Co-Founder Become a manager with an organization that invests in your career while giving to the community.
