The Division Controller will work closely with other functional leaders and managers - working to support improved growth and profitability using strong analytical and business partnering skills. This position will be accountable for the safeguarding and ethical accounting of all division assets in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles. In addition, the Division Controller will develop and administer on a division-wide basis the overall accounting function with the Win Strategy. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: __X__ Has Direct Reports ____ Does Not Have Direct Reports* This division has approximately 270 team members, 3 sites, and a total revenue of $138M. The role will have a team of 6 people (02 direct reports and 04 indirect) and will report directly to the General manager and functionally to the Fluid Connectors Group Controller. Functions include: budgeting, planning, internal control oversight, financial reporting both internal and external, financial performance measurement, financial system implementation, and technical accounting support and guidance. Primary Responsibilities: + Continually reviews the accounting requirements of the division and directs the development and installation of appropriate systems. + Prepares statements of monthly financial data including income statement and balance sheet. Analysis of financial results as compared to monthly objectives. + Responsible for the financial performance measurements within the division, while ensuring financial performance reporting is accurate and timely meeting the constant changing need of the division and group. + Accountable for proper procedures, policies and controls being in place in order to maintain strong internal controls. + Responsible for internal and external reporting and for maintaining integrity, while assuring that Generally Accepted Accounting Practices are in place. Ensures compliance with local statutory reporting. + Respond to special financial requests and analysis and communicate potential problem areas. Conduct financial reviews/analysis as requested. + Leads the talent management and employee development processes for the accounting team. Ensures technically qualified personnel are placed in all positions and has training and development programs available for the division accounting organization. At least annually, reviews succession plans. + Directs the annual division planning process with emphasis on installing a proactive reporting system needed to support the management decision-making process. + Reviews and evaluates investments in all operating assets Qualifications: + BS degree in accounting, finance, or economics. Advanced degree preferred. + 7-10 years experience in general and cost accounting area. + Must continuously maintain the highest degree of integrity, customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction and people productivity.
