As Division Automation Manager - Process Industries, you’ll lead the charge in shaping the future of automation - driving strategic growth, innovation, and transformation across all business lines.

Core responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment & Target Setting

Coordinate market and competitive analysis efforts, in collaboration with Strategic Marketing, PCP, and Strategy

Develop and maintain an automation strategy in coordination with all Business Lines and aligned with divisional and corporate goals

Develop and maintain a mid-segment product strategy

Define clear automation targets per business line

Build and maintain global dashboards to monitor KPIs across the division

Technology & Innovation

Identify growth potential resulting from introduction of new technology (AV) and reflect in targets

Steer automation technology development to enhance competitiveness of our solutions across differentiated market segments

Keep alignment between Business Line/Division automation product roadmaps and PCP roadmaps in terms of content and timing

Prepare the organization for a timely introduction of new technologies

Organizational Design & Efficiency

Establish clear mandates, reporting lines, and decision-making structures

Lead a global, core automation growth team to support and coordinate with Business Lines to effectively position automation in the appropriate industry verticals

Project Management & Lifecycle Excellence

Strengthen project management capabilities within automation, being the link between Business Line needs and PCP

Implement robust lifecycle management practices for automation solutions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Ensure strong alignment with PCP, Digital, B&R, and GPB

Develop and coordinate cross-functional and cross-Business Line initiatives to support automation growth (e.g. installed base management, ASM growth, modernization plans, etc.)

Evaluate new opportunities and manage customer lifecycle risks

Change Management & Vision Execution

Lead the transformation toward the Automation Vision

Implement structured change management programs to support adoption

Talent Development & Sustainability

Build a sustainable structure that does not rely solely on legacy knowledge

Enhance automation capabilities through competence mapping and training

Build an effective, capable, and high-performing organization

Key requirements:

To be successful in this role, you bring around 15 years of experience in a similar capacity with deep expertise in automation. Your educational background is rooted in electrical or automation engineering. You have demonstrated strength in business strategy, collaboration, market intelligence, and developing effective go-to-market approaches. You are experienced in driving customer success and ensuring regulatory and legal compliance. You know how to define and deliver on performance targets, enable sales organizations, and accelerate business development and adoption.

You are also highly skilled in change management and channel sales, and you understand how to manage operations and projects at a global scale. Your ability to work across functions and business lines while leading complex initiatives positions you as a trusted driver of transformation within a global industrial organization.
